The Memorial Center for the History of Political Repression “Perm 36” arranges a wide range of educational activities aimed at different target groups, first of all, students.
The Center's activities pursue the following objectives:
-
to spread the concepts of open civil society and a democratic state,;
-
to overcome totalitarian stereotypes;
-
to strengthen individual political and social rights.
These objectives were influenced by results of a survey carried out y the All-Russian Center for Public Opinion (doc, 20 Kb), as well as the fact that in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War, a monument to Stalin was set up in a Yakut village Mirniy.
The main directions of the Center's activities are the following:

participation in the education process of Perm and Perm region educational institutions;

development, publication, and promotion of educational and methodical aids for high school students;

organization of contests and seminars for teachers of the humanitarian cycle;
-
arranging civil educations activities (doc, 50 Kb).
The Center is implementing several educational projects, the most important of which are Tourist Project "Boundaries of the Worlds",The History Lessons in GULAG Museum, Civil Readings in Memory of V.Astafiev, Summer Volunteer Camp "Kutchino", and Civil Song Festival "Pilorama".
